Back to Questions

What kind of hair systems do you offer?
DHR strives to offer the most up to date systems available anywhere, from pre-made French and Swiss lace front systems to full cap custom designs. In our home studio in Toronto, we service men and woman from ages 10 to 72, and from all walks of life and situations. There isn't one type of system for everybody, and during our 40 year history we have never limited ourselves to one type of hair system.

Back to Questions

Can I really maintain my hair system myself?
The answer is yes and no. Some attachments can be done completely on your own while others will require the help of a second person. But certainly all maintenece can be done with the aid of a few instructions, which we do provide, and a second person, like your partner or friend.

How do I design my own hair system?
It's quite simple. You can look at the details of one of our pre-made systems and modify it by asking for more density, or less wave, etc. If you prefer a custom made hair system that is shaped to your particular scalp, you can order our custom molding kit, which has all the instructions and materials needed to design your own hair system.

How can I be sure of quality when ordering online? How does your system compare to HRS
It's funny you should mention HRS. HRS is a franchise company based out of Fort Lauderdale Florida. In 1985 we joined HRS as their Toronto location. It was a 5 year contract and at the end of it we decided to leave the organization. The problem was, we were giving them more knowledge then they could give us, both in the design and maintenence areas. To be sure, the quality of their hair systems is good, but it is certainly not exclusive. Our factories produce systems of equal and better quality then HRS, and what guarantees our quality, is the fact that we have been designing and servicing hair systems for over 40 years.

Your husband can certainly fit himself with our kit. The molding kit has complete instructions that are simple to follow. Once the mold is completed, simply mail the mold to us with a picture of your hair style and we can even cut the system into your style.

I wanted to find out if it possible to be allergic to polyfuse. Please let me know what the side effect are.
"Polyfuse" is a term coined by Hair Club that refers to a method more than a product. Several companies do "polyfuse" type attachments - the hair system is bonded to a track of short hair around the perimeter of the hair system. The question is what type of "poly" do they use to "fuse" the hair system. DHR recommends using Hollister Medical adhesive for this attachment. It is a true adhesive is designed for attaching artificial appliances to the skin and is used in hospitals. We have never seen a person have an allergic reaction to this adhesive. We have seen the occasional reaction to just about every other type of adhesive. It is rare to be allergic to an adhesive, but a patch test should be done to be sure. Normally the reaction is a rash that is easily treated with cortezone cream.
