When ordering a custom hair system, you can use our Custom Molding Kit to create an accurate mold of your scalp. The kit includes everything you need, along with detailed step-by-step instructions, to create a professional plaster-of-Paris mold for your custom system.

DHR has used this molding method for over 40 years, both for our custom hair systems and with clients at our Toronto clinic. We prefer plaster molds because they provide an exceptionally accurate and stable representation of the scalp, helping ensure the best possible fit for your finished hair system.

Once completed, your mold is stored at our factory for future orders. A single mold can typically be used to produce several custom hair systems before it needs to be replaced, making future reorders easier and more consistent.

Clients may also submit a traditional tape template when ordering a custom system. However, whenever possible, we recommend the plaster mold for greater accuracy, stability, and consistency between orders.
